New Feature: Local Search Audit

We constantly release new features to provide our customers with the best-in-class software solutions and here we would like to share some of them with you. The feature that was recently released and that we would like to talk about is Local Search Audit.

This feature allows businesses to get a snapshot of what’s going on with their locations. You can compare the performance of your locations based on a specific search query in different locations where your businesses are based (you can compare them either by the city name or specific address).

Also, you can filter these results by distance, which ranges from 1 to 40 miles. For instance, to get a helicopter view of a specific niche in your city you can check results within a big range (e.g. 5 miles), and for more precise results in a specific neighborhood you can narrow down the distance to 1 mile from your location.

Based on a search query you can get the names of businesses that are competing with you for the same keywords, as well as their ratings, listed category, working hours, phone numbers, emails, the number of reviews and photos, description of the businesses and if those locations are claimed or unclaimed.

These actionable insights can be used in a number of ways:

  • To find duplicate/fake accounts and then fix problems connected to them
  • Analyze competitors based on distance. Even if you’re constantly checking your local competitors it’s easy to miss someone new. That’s where our local search audit could be quite handy
  • Check the overall search results based on specific keywords and distance. You can then check your competitors’ profiles to find out what are they posting or writing in their description to get some new ideas for your business
  • You can find unclaimed business profiles and easily fix them. Any professional marketer knows that having an unclaimed business profile could be dangerous, as unclaimed profiles could be easily edited by third parties
  • The number of reviews could also tell you a lot: like what is being told about your competitors and why.

As you can see, you can get lots of insights from Local Search Audit. This feature is completely free, so you can play around with it and let us know what you think.
